Getting there

Airport: Calgary International Airport (YYC) is 90 minutes away from Banff.

  • Note if you are returning by flight to the U.S. that customs inspections take place at YYC, leave enough time to go through customs before takeoff

Driving:

  • Venue address: Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity; 107 Tunnel Mountain Dr, Banff, AB T1L 1H

  • If you choose to travel by private vehicle, you will find the route is well-signed

Rental Cars:

Parking:

Complimentary parking is available to Banff Centre guests. Please register your vehicle at check-in. The Front Desk will assign you with a parking permit for your vehicle, and direct you to the long term parking areas.

Note: If you choose to drive, you will need to purchase a Banff National Park pass. You can do so online (here) or when you enter the park. Your day pass or temporary discovery pass must be printed and displayed on the dash of your vehicle while traveling in the national park.

September in Banff is still at the peak of the Summer tourism season, however it starts to cool down and the autumn leaves may begin to show. It’s wise to pack warmer clothes and layers, as evenings can be quite cool and weather can vary.
